Not sure if this is what you're looking for, though you did say "anything musical".

Quote:
Who: E' Joung-Ju Ensemble
Date: June 16th 2007
Time: 7:00pm
Place: KT Art Hall Gwanghwamun, Seoul
Cost: FREE (you're advised to get there a bit early to get a good seat)

Directions: Take the subway to Gwanghwamun Stn. (Line #5) and take exit #2. The KT Art Hall is located between the Kyobo Building (Kyobo Bookstore) and the U.S. Embassy building.

The E' Joung-Ju ensemble takes a new approach to Korean traditional music rendering it more accessible to the modern audience. Their arrangements for exotic instruments produce a refreshing and unique blend of sounds. The ensemble has been working together for two years playing to a variety of audiences around the country. They also toured France in the fall of 2006 and are planning to return in July this year.

The E' Joung-Ju ensemble consists of Lee Joung-Ju (geomungo), Daami Cagney (classical guitar and clarinet), Brian Rose (saz (baglama) and classical guitar) and Valtinho Anastacio (percussion). The geomungo is a Korean bass zither whose origins date back to the Goguryeo period in the 6th century. The baglama is a lute with 7 strings and is the traditional folk instrument of Turkey.

The three founding members of the ensemble are joined on this occasion by the accomplished percussionist Valtinho Anastacio who performs on a vast array of both conventional and improvised instruments

To see if this might interest you or not, go here and listen to a sample of their music. If this appeals to you, I'm sure you'll enjoy these guys live.

Enjoy!

If you like songs about the undead and zombie rape there's a psychobilly concert in Hongdae with a band called Phantom Rockers.

Thanks guys, they both look interesting, when is the psychobilly one? In fact, what exactly is psychobilly?

Its funny you should mention zombies, because the missus seems to be sticking her oar in and steering us to Christina Aguilera instead, blimey...

Psychobilly is a more modern version of rockabilly and the lyrics usually have a horror element or a sexual element or both.

The thread on it is here.

It's not music for someone who can tolerate Christina Aguilera though.
