Please recommend a nice hotel in phuket. I have never been tere so I am not sure what is the good area to stay. would like to be on the beach or at least close to it.

The Jiva Resort is a walking distance from Kata beach, which is much quieter and nicer than the other ones.
The hotel is very spacious and has many pools.
Hmmm.. I just did a quick search and it seems like the hotel has been taken over.. and it's now called Central Kata Resort.
