Please make sure you find someone who has ridden A LOT. My friends in the US who learned from friends wrecked much more in sticky situations than my friends who learned from a Motorcycle Safety Foundation approved program.
Be sure you learn how to properly countersteer (steer) the bike. If someone teaches you to lean into the turn, they never properly learned to ride.
Also, it's a good idea to research the physics of how a bike works (like two gyroscopes attached together). This will help you be more confident when making fast turns or abrupt stops. |

If you want to take a train down south (to Yeosu) I'd be happy to help out. If you know how to drive a stick shift you'd be better-off to start.
I have about 7 years of riding experience and I have taken MSF courses. I'm licensed for motorcycles in America (with an international license too) and Korea.
My bikes -- well, I have one 125cc standard riding position bike that's my daily driver (and super-easy to ride). I'll probably be buying at least one more 125, too, because I like having hobby bikes; any of these would make great learner bikes. You won't be riding my 750cc race-replicas, though!
Drop me a PM if you're interested. |
