Hey, I know there have been other threads about Pension and Tax but I would like advise about this situation. My previous job, I worked for a Hagwon in Pyeongtaek. I won't name it yet publically, due to cyber laws in Korea. Anyways, I was being deducted tax but not pension when I was working there. I did call the tax office and find out if my employer had contributed to tax. You know what the answer was, you guessed it, "No"! The tax office took the details of the school but didn't hear anything about any inspection etc.

So I left it there as I was very angry and wanted to control my anger and lack of respect from my employer of 18 months. So I changed employers and now work for a much more respectable employer but I am curious whether I could now chase up my previous employer about not paying pension nor tax as well as not paying up for health insurance for a full 18 months. I have the pay stubs but I feel that I could walk into any tax office and discuss the matter with a civil servant.

I have been away from my ex-employers for about 3 months and I am settling into my new work. Would the tax/pension office be sympathetic with my case that my employer didn't pay their responsibilities and put me as I didn't have Health Insurance. Will I get into trouble as I had not reported previously? Will the tax office charge me the unpaid tax/pension/etc? Just want to be sure before I make the move for f**king my previous Hagwon up. Btw, I am F2 for the time being (F5 in a few months). Any advise would be appreciated.

To my mind Canuck you can pay back your pension money, and the old boss will have to do the same. Even after 3 months I think this is possible. And no you won't get in to trouble. Perhaps p.m. ttompat who will definitely give you the 'scooby do'.

I have heard there is a pretty funny chain of events that will occur when you go to the pension office. All of which will be a very positive experience for the teacher and a very good 'learning' experience for the Hogwan boss.

Good luck, walk softly and play blond.
