Hey everyone,

I am just about to finish my one year contract and I was wondering what all I need to get done. I am planning on going back home and then coming back for another year at a different school and I have no clue on what all I will need to do or how to do it. So if anyone with experience could help me out it would be greatly appreciated. I have gone through many pages and haven't really been able to find a thread on this topic.

Some of the things that I have briefly heard people talk about are...

1. Multiple entry into Korea. What is this and will I need to do anything for this and if so how?

2. Pension refund. If I am coming back for another year do I claim it this year or wait until I am done next year. If this year, how do I go about doing this, where is the office located as well.

3. Are there any papers I should be asking my current employer for upon leaving my school.

4. Anything else you can think of that I have not mentioned as well.

Thanks in advance.

If your contract is ending and you are NOT extending with the same employer then you do not need this. It is for people who are leaving Korea and returning on the same visa to work with the same employer.

2. Pension refund. If I am coming back for another year do I claim it this year or wait until I am done next year. If this year, how do I go about doing this, where is the office located as well.

This depends on where home is.

details and links to the forms are here. Basically you fill in the form, show your one way exit air ticket, provide banking information and they send the money in a month or 3.

Perhaps a record of employment stating that you worked as a teacher from date - date and bearing the schools stamp.

4. Anything else you can think of that I have not mentioned as well.

Have a nice flight home.

Thanks in advance.
