Sounds like a good adult school in Seoul... too good, in fact. Anybody heard of anything?

I can't speak for the reputation of that school. Do you want to work split shift hours?

I don't mind working splits, I know it comes with the territory of teaching adults. I taught kids the first year and adults the next year... then I made the BIG mistake of trying to go back and teach kids. Confused

Here is someone's blog who worked there and had a less than positive experience, he talks about it throughout multiple entires in his blog:

http://www.travelpod.com/travel-blog-entries/jakeruh/korea_2006/1158934800/tpod.html

I remember someone else posting in Dave's describing a negative experience as well.

Take from those two things what you will.

Sounds ridiculous. Wearing a neatly pressed suit and tie at 615 am... "image is everything..." Smart guy who opened this place though. He knows Koreans love paying through the nose. Apparently this hogwan ... or "Studio" charges way more for classes than everywhere else. Brilliant idea!

A few gems about this school from the blog listed above:

"I will finally feel like a teacher rather than teaching rich housewives English who are simply bored and what something to do. I never felt like I was a teacher at that facility, but rather a foreigner dressed in a suit and tie, making my students regurgitate sentences."

"A lot of the other teachers have complained and they arent happy, but I couldnt just talk about it anymore.

For example, when my retention rating was the best of all the teachers, the owner came up to me and said, All your students are coming back! Youve got a good appearance I just need to hire good looking teachers. Now, for him to tell me that my appearance is why my students are coming back rather than that Im a good teacher that was the first alarm. "

Reading this was enough for me to decide to not work for this guy.
