(Insert standard disclaimers about lousy search function here.)

I've renewed my contract with my university and need to visit Immigration to renew my work visa. Is there anything I'll need to take with me, when I go, other than the contract (고용계약서), passport(s), and ARC? Will they need photos?

Question 2 -- I remember reading about the multiple-entry not generally being given on a renewal. Have any Americans out there been able to get one? Will Immigration do it if you specifically ask? I'll be travelling out of Korea a few times this fall and would prefer to avoid visa hassles, if possible.

Thanks!

I just did this last month:
You need
1) contract from your school
2) school's business number (comes on a paper that looks nice and official)
3)letter of sponsorship from your school
4) 2 pics (could be one, but better to be safe.
5) passport
6) I think for the visa extension and the multiple entry, it was 80,000.

Call immi to be safe, but this is all I needed.
ALso, here in Busan, tey took my ARC and Passport for a week. I was surprised they would do it for just a simple renewal.

Visa extensions do NOT INCLUDE re-entry permits (even if your original visa was multi-entry).

You will have to apply for a multiple re-entry permit. It is best to do it at the same time you get your visa extension (save you the trip back later).

The cost is 50k won.
The cost of your extension is 30k won.
The documents were listed in the post above.

ARC, passport, application form, contract with new end date clearly indicated, school's business registration, guarantor paper from your employer.
