That always works for me. FF in Hongdae has great bands playing all the time. Club Ta next door as well.
Have a look for our band playing at Woodstock in Itaewon as well.

Will do, what kind of stuff do you play? Also do any decent North American bands play around the area? |

I checked out your site and really digged your songs. I was very pleasantly surprised; it's the first time I've followed a link to bands from this site and not been disappointed. The vocals are great, a little similar to Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. Good energy, catchy riffs, etc.
OP, try Hongdae, Shinchon, or Itaewon if you want to go to good clubs/bars. |

I can only suggest touristy stuff since I don't live in Seoul, so here goes:
The War Memorial/Museum-- Its huge and quite informative about Korean history in general, not just hte Korean war. You could spend a whole afternooon here if you wanted, but i think 2 hours hsould do it. There is a lot of "this spear is 9.2 meters long and .75cm thick" type stuff at the beginning, but just move quickl ythrough that and go on to the korean war part. The giant turtle ship is pretty cool too. Definetly my favorite toursity thing in Seoul (I'm a political history junkie though).
Namsan Tower and park. Try to on a clear day (easier said than done). Nice park to lounge in anyday though.
Insadong- Artsy/crafts disctrict. A lot of it is overpriced, but its a nice way to spend an afternoon looking at traditional Korean goods
You should hit up a nice temple at some point. There is a good one near Insadong, but I can't remember what its called. There is alos a big palace near there, but can't remembe that either. Sorry. It should be on any tourist brochure though. |

I agree with the other folk, the songs on the myspace page are indeed quality.
I arrive back to Korea in under 3 weeks, and will this time be situated close to Hongdae due to my love of gigs.
Ilsan just was severely lacking in the "Rock" department! Looking forward to seeing your band Osim. Oh yeah this thread is about something completely different....
OP, walk into Hongdae and you will hear a few gigs, follow the sound of the one that sounds best. Job done! |
