I work at a public elementary school and they have asked me to work over the summer vacation as it states in my contract. However i was wondering what the normal hours are during vacation.

I am the first foreign teacher the school has had and they are trying their luck as much as they can. I have one week vacation over summer and three weeks over winter.

I work exactly the same schedule durin the breaks, except that I have two weeks vacation during summer and winter each. For the last two vacations, I taught a 50 min class for each 3,4,5,6 grade every day, and then the after school class 4 times a week like a usually teach. Nothing changes for me during vacation except that I don't have a coteacher (wahoo!). I don't mind it. its still moe vacation than most other jobs in this industry and I get treated really well.
