I'm switching to the public school system (from hagwonland) in a week or two. They need a certified physical indicating I'm in good health. Can I go anywhere for that? Is there a place I can go for it on the weekend? Or is there a specific governmental building? I'm in Gwangmyeong City, Kyunggi Province. |

I know Yonsei Severance hospital in Sincheon has walk-in services on Saturdays from 8:30 to 12:00, not sure how close that is for you, but no problems about doing it on a Saturday. |

It's a half hour from me by subway, but well worth the trip. Best hospital in Korea as far as I'm concerned. (saw them for dysnetary recently; they actually cured it AND understood my misgivings about antibiotics.) I'll give 'em a call and make sure that a physical issued by them is acceptable to the public school system. And affordable. My soon-to-be-ex employer still hasn't signed me up for health insurance. |

I went to a local place and got the basic blood, urine and x-rays done. Was given a form stating I didn't have the plague and that was that. Nothing spectacular or overly difficult.... |
