Daegu in my opinion is the best city in Korea to live and play in. Let me tell you why...
The expat crowd here is tops. Anyone that comes to Daegu and hits the expat bars always say they have a great time and return.

The thing with Seoul, is that there are so many options, that when you meet someone chances are you wont run into them again for weeks or months on end. As for Busan, can you tell me another longer, more spread out city in Korea. Its taxi central. Sucks! And in those cities, its easy to be an ass and disappear for a while.
Not in Daegu. You don't last too long if you play the fool. Word gets out if your a bad drunk or start fights or whatever....

A great example of the waygooks coming together is that there have been fundraisers for people in need more than once here, not to mention charity help.

That is my take on Daegu and why its the best...wouldn't go to any other city in Korea. People make the party, and Daegu has the people.

Seoul, you can keep your line-ups. You may have clubs and museums, but lets be honest, people only go there when someone is worth playing or an exhibit worth seeing. That is what the KTX is for. Besides that, keep your overpriced galbi. Busan, too long, narrow and just a complete pain in the arse to get around.

So if you like where you live, speak up...if you dont do the same...

I dunno... I'm in jeollanamdo now and I saw an amazing donkey show tonight. Let's compare--were your donkeys doing ping pong ball tricks? Cause tonight, dude, down here it was like China vs. Taiwan tabletennis. MAD SH*T. I'm lucky to get out with all my eyeballs still in my head

If you want to see each other again, there's always a phone.

Otherwise, I see this as a benefit, not a detriment.

Bucheon is the best. If you live in the seedy area where I live, in the morning, you can go to your parked car, and collect 5-6 hooker business cards on your windows. Then you can go to the singing room, and dollars to donuts, you can hire a 'helper' for 20,000 won or so.

Then if you are so drunk, and you pass out 5 feet in any direction, you will find another bar.

Ilsan is not a bad place to live. I spent my first year in Goyang si. It's as almost as convenient as being in Seoul.

Tongyong is a cool city. Right by the ocean and surrounded by mountains. Some of the most beautiful scenery in Korea.

There are worse places, but there are too many drunken Korean men out on the streets at all hours. Are there ANY laws in Korea against public stupidity?

I'm gonna pick Seoul of course because it's the center of the country. Also because there are more Koreans who are not totally backwards and conservative, and you don't have to hang out with waegs all the time.

Just stay away from Shimgok bon 1-dong, and you'll be okay.
