Hello-
I apologize for posting rather inane, daily life topics like "yogurt" (see my post from yesterday and please respond!) and now this one, but I am in the stage of life in Korea when I'm just trying to figure out how to live well on a day to day basis.
I often study in cafes near Shinchon (often on the road which goes up to Sogang from Shinchon station gate 6), but I find it hard to find affordable cafes. Sometimes I just want coffee, or iced coffee (which is not as good as back home but usually okay) but find myself paying a whopping 4,000 won for a quite small Americano. The more affordable cafe I used to go to disappeared, and now there is a cafe called "Pause Cafe" in its place that is as expensive as Starbucks or A Twosome Place. The one closest to Sogang is one of the chain Espria, and while it's cheaper it is noisy and and often completely open to the street, so not the best study place.
Can anyone recommend a peaceful but not expensive cafe? (It would also be fantastic to find one that wasn't air conditioned so heavily it felt like a refrigerator, but perhaps that's just a dream). |

| You could buy your cafe' latte from one of those walk up window cafe's I've seen popping up all over Seoul. Then just carry your coffee into a Starbucks or whatever and sit down. If anyone says anything to you, just tell them you're waiting on a friend. |

No worries, that's what this forum is for.
It's better than the crap posted in the off-topic forum. "Do you think Jesus could fly?" |
