What a stupid question, there's probably loads of people in Mokdong.

I'll be moving there in 3 weeks, and will be a bit of a Norman No-Mates to begin with, as my old friends remain festering in the Rock And Roll Capital of Excitement that is Ilsan.

So, I'll be needing some company at weekends I'd imagine. If you are interested in some live gigging action across in Hongdae, give me a shout either here or with a PM.

Cheers!

Is this your first time coming to Korea?

Mokdong's a pretty cool spot, very close to Shinchon and Hongdae. If you search for Mokdong posts (filter for General forum only, I recommend) you'll find some information. There's a bar there that is famous among foreigners, but I still haven't made it out there yet so I can't give exact directions.

I've met quite a few westerners while going about in Mokdong and they've all been really cool. (Even ran into a few people from this board~)

I'm moving to Mok-dong in one week as well. Just bought an apartment there. Where is the down-town of Mok-dong. I heard it is pretty cool. What is the bar called.

Yeah it's sounding like a pretty decent area. This will be my second year in Korea. The first one was spent in a far-flung corner of Ilsan, with no other foreign teachers at my school. This time I'm up for meeting as many freaks and geeks as possible. Any cool people in general.

So, once more....who's in Mokdong and where/when is the party?

I'll be headed to Mokdong in less than a month. I won't know anyone when I get there either. However, I hear its fairly easy to meet people as there are tons of foreign teachers in Mokdong.

Its not a long subway ride to either Hongdae or Gangnam if you're looking for nightlife. Just hop on the subway and figure it out. PM me if you like. I'll help you out once I get more info myself.

Beer O'Clock.. go straight out of exit 3 of Omokgyo station keep walking until you hit the crosswalk. Hang a left there (don't cross) and walk about a min... Pretty much directly across the street from the Hyundai Dept. Store. 1st floor is a Kalbi restaurant 2nd floor is Buldok. Beer O'clock is in the basement.
