greets:
can anyone help me do a quick edit of a flash banner? i only need to change the words and nothing else. i have flash mx and dreamwearver. appreciated. |

I don't really want to get into this, but...
...you probably won't need dreamweaver. use flash. do you have the *.fla (project) file? if you only have the *.swf file (the one that gets posted on the web), you are S.O.L. so stop reading and forget it.
If you have the *.fla, open it in flash and peck around to look for the text field you want to change. It's pretty intuitive from there. When you're done, "publish" the banner (create a new *.swf) and put it up on the web with the same name as the old one (back up the old one first).

You can get a Flash Decompiler to get the Fla contents from the swf.
Of course, this is probably more than you want to get into just to change the text.
