Can anyone help me with these questions? I finished my first year in Korea in March, and am due to return next week.

1. Will my bank account still be open? I'm with KB*, and think I only left a paltry 10,000W in there.

2. I never thought about this last year, as it wasn't financially possible. When people want to travel around Asia at the end of their contract, then go home, how do they do this? I mean, how does this work regarding the return ticket bought by the employer? Think I'm being stupid here!

3. Are there any shots required to visit Thailand? If so, is it easy to get these in Korea? Would it be worthwhile quickly getting them here before leaving?

4. Any decent hiking near Mokdong? I guess Gwanaksan isn't far, anywhere closer?

5. Anyone want to form a band/need a vocalist (wouldn't quite say singer)?

6. What is the best ski resort in close proximity to Seoul? How long does it take to get there?

Cheers if you can help me with any of the above, especially the first three.

It should be

Make sure the airfare clause is for 2 * one-way tickets instead of a round trip ticket AND make sure that it allows for a CASH payout or alternate destination if you decide to NOT return home.

The same shots you should have had to come here: Hep A/B, MMR, etc.

They are all (the good ones anyway) in Gangwon-do (a couple hours east of Seoul by bus).

Last time I came to Korea, I had a full set of shots, mostly because I was bored one day. I was sure you weren't required to have ANY immunisations to come to South Korea. Now I can't remember......am I going to be turned away at customs? Or were you meaning I should have got them purely out of common sense?
