For those music fans here in Korea and looking for a bit more than hip hop/punk/electronic that is shoved down our throats, jump online and check out the Bonnaroo Festival. It's streaming live right now. i'm digging this bluegrass band called Uncle Earl. Other bands schedule to be online this weekend are Cold War Kids, Kings of Leon, The Roots, Spearhead, Damien Rice, The White Stripes, Wilco, and many others.

Unless I go to Fuji or Summer Sonic, looking for people to join me, this might be the only festival I may be checking out this summer. It's just too bad I'll be doing it from the privacy of my home. This is the best festival Korea has to offer this year, because Pentaport's lineup is awful.

Unfortunately I haven't been to Bonnaroo as I've been here for almost 5 years. The only year I was able to go was 2002, festival's first year, but I was in Alaska on vacation.

Have you been?

Thanks to the internet and dvd's I can watch the show from the comfort of my own couch, but I'd rather be there.

I went the very first year, damn it was hot. But, it was a trip I will never forget. It was great seeing Trey, Claypool, so many great bands. Ween, one of my favorites.

yeah i went a couple years ago- i never expected it to be that crazy- nor did i expect all the mud. eventually just gave up and did the barefoot thing. i went the year the allman brothers and trey (after phish broke up) and jack johnson and jurassic 5. was an awesome time and you can't top the atmosphere. however- did end up with sunpoisoning, but didnt feel to bad- saw a few other girls with swollen faces from it as well.
