Does anyone know if it's possible to switch from a C4 visa to an E2 visa within Korea?

Right now I'm working at a summer camp but will start with SMOE on August 25th. My recruiter told me that he was told by SMOE that I can switch it without leaving Korea, but I've never heard of anyone doing this.

By the way, I have had an E2 visa before.

Thanks for the help.

No you can't. You need to make a visa run to Japan (Osaka or Fukuoka), but your new employer should pay for the trip/ hotel and visa fee.

I'm about to make the same trip at the end of September.
