I've recently interviewed for a mother who wants private teaching for her two kids, seven and eight. They are behind the regular curriculum because of travel or whatever and need to catch up. I believe both are working on grade one of the British Columbia curriculum. They've been home-schooled previously but the parents are now too busy and are looking to hire someone.

The father is a president and CEO of a major mining company so I think they have money! My question is: what is a fair salary? My sister recently paid $25 CAD/hour for a math tutor for her daughter. So how much for two? Is $40 too much?

Anyone with experience tutoring in BC? Suggestions?

Cheers, Smile
