I just took a new job this month but I got offered another one this weekend which is too good to pass up (even though my present job I have fridays off). SO I went on my visa run but I haven't gone to immigration yet to get my alien card.
What will happen when I quit? I am assuming I would have to pay back my employer for the visa run.
Any info much appreiciated.
ps anyone want fridays off?

If the school doesn't release you (assuming you are E2) or give you permission to take it you cannot take the new job legally.

As soon as you got the visa, you became their property. Getting your ARc is just an immigration requirement for registration of foreign residents.

Your current job controls your employment for the next year unless there is a MAJOR breach in your contract and the labor board can obtain a release for you.

Your current employer is NOT required to release you - even if you quit.

Good luck. You're gonna need it.
