This has been the sorry reality for a long long time. Police and prosecutors say the see the same guys accused time after time, and they always get off.
If, god forbid, it happened to me, I doubt that I would report it. Pointless. More trauma, being called a *beep* in court, and then watching the b@stard walk off scott free... Sod that. I think I'd hire a couple of thugs instead...
The Americans seem to have got their act together a bit better, and have special rape prosecution teams. They get better results. |
