Two years ago we bought a sofa/ottoman in A-Hyeon for about 350,000. It's not the most comfy sofa, but it'll do. At the time, I was desperate to have a piece of real furniture, as (unlike hubby) I just couldn't sit on the floor all the time.

It's one of those "two seater sofas" plus a square ottoman. Brown/gold textured fabric. Pretty light - I can move it around no problem, though it might take a strong person to carry it up the stairs. Good for a smallish home (and what home here isn't?!?)

Why are we getting rid of it? It doesn't really "work" in our new place - and I have my heart set on some new pieces!

Why is it free? Because I want it out soon so I can fit my new furniture in!

The only condition is that you pick it up, or arrange for pickup. Ideally, ASAP. Unfortunately, it's too big to go in most cars - perhaps in an SUV or minivan.

We're located near East Seoul Bus terminal and Children's Grand Park.

Width 132 cm, depth 85 cm, 60 cm high, ottoman is 60 cm square.

I'll put up a picture tomorrow.

That would be funny to watch. Maybe if you had 8 or 9 people helping you out, but I'd be shocked if the driver would let you.

I don't have much experience ordering pickups from delivery companies (Taek-bae) but I have had stuff delivered from them. That might be the best way to go...

And if you're just taking the piss, go ahead. Razz It's not like I'm actually asking for any money for it...

Has anyone claimed this yet? If not, I am interested! I have access to a van, and could come pick it up. I am pretty much free this week. Please let me know! I have 2 chairs that have bitten the dust, and have been looking for a replacement. This would be wonderful!

I put my old pool table up for freebies in a local paper one year. It was a six foot by four foot on legs. Nothing fancy but a decent enough a table, but wanted rid of it and didn't see any point in selling it for 40 quid and having to haggle with people coming around to look at it and complain.

A group of students called up and wanted it. Came around to my house in a Peugot 205. They put it on the roof and held it down with their hands and drove home with it.

My old dear was livid that I had let them do it. My old man had an estate car and coudl have fitted it in there if they had wanted to. I was to amused by the whole thing to have thought about it.

We've moved bookshelves on the motorcycle. One of them was more of a frame than a solid piece of furniture. He scooched forward and I held it on my lap with my arms going through the back of the shelf.... up veggie hill toward the Hyatt.

Looking back, it was borderline insanity.

I think I have a taker on the sofa - I'll check in again to confirm it once I get the pickup day/time sorted. If it doesn't work out, I'll PM those who've expressed interest already and make new arrangements.

Thanks folks!
