Quick question, do I need travel visa's to get to china or japan. I'm pretty sure that I have to get one for china, but not sure about japan. Also I'm near seoul where do I go to get them?
Thanks |

It depends specifically on your nationality but ...
Anyone who qualifies for an E2 in Korea needs a visa for China
AND
Anyone who qualifies for an E2 in Korea does NOT need a visa to visit Japan. |

that is what I thought. I am Canadian and have my E2 visa.
Do you know where I can apply for my travel visa to China? Is there a consulate or embassy in Seoul? |

You can use the consulate in Seoul or just get the travel agent who is booking your tickets to do it for you. The consulate is ONLY open in the mornings until 11:30 for visa service. It used to be on the 9th floor of the Kyobo building in Jongno but I have been told (unconfirmed) that it moved to Myeongdong (I don't know where).
4 day service - the fee is 35k won for Canadians
2 day service - the fee is 55k won for Canadians
same day service is NOT available from a travel agent and is 70k won.
For those Americans reading, the fees are higher (I don't remember what they were specifically).
They are the same as the Canadian rates for all other non-American E2 (English) teachers.
