The Costco thread got me thinking about where I can find western goods (soft taco shells, taco mix, other goodies) in the Busan area. Now that I've moved to the south, I'm a considerable distance from Seoul, and occasionally get to Busan. So is there a red door type of place that is easy to find for folks who don't know Busan well? I think I saw a thread about this months ago, but the search function isn't working for me now...so if anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd be obliged.

Yes, I researched this too and came up empty handed. I asked around and didn't find any thing other than the tiny PX in the Seamans club where you can get American soap and Reeses peanut butter cups. Despite Busan being a large city, I didn't see much international things other than Starbucks.

If anyone stands to correct me on this, I would be very happy to learn about any stores or markets that sell the goods we want.

there's a market in nampodong called "Gukje market" which literally means international market. Don't go there myself much but heard it's got a lot of western foods and alcohols for fairly cheap. I friend of mine buys all her oatmeal there. I think they must get alotta stuff from the U.S. army base or something. Anyways, might be worth a look if u want some western goods. Its only about a 10 minute walk away from the nampodong subway stop.
