the mvp awards are a joke/ why not give awards to the most valuable phrasebook or best kimchee? giving awards to posters like "okay, i will probably get this thread locked" jongnoguru : he claims to not even be a teacher, so why do so many worship him.? he is sexist and a chuavanist... okay mods, go ahead lock this thread... i know you will

Knee-Highs, after reading your post, I decided I owe you an apology. I said mean stuff to you a while ago, when you defended Keifer Sutherland, but that's basically because I got my own personal beefs with the guy. I should never have extended that to you.
Sorry about that.
I post when I'm drunk, you see.

Only the job forum is specifically about teaching in Korea, the general forum is about "living in Korea", so where's the problem?

You should've stuck with being a celebrity. Arrogance and obscurity do not mix.

So nice of you to apologize, but not necessary. If you actually know Kiefer and think he is a "beep" that's ok. What I meant was that people making comments about celebs who they once saw going into a bathroom or somewhere is not very realistic.

As to others here who think my posting has anything to do with jealousy, guess again and think deeper. I really do not like the sexist and racist attitudes shown by numerous posters and to vote those posters as "most valuable" seems trite. Certainly, a poster like Ttompatz is deserving, and a few others who offer sage advice. In my case, I neither want nor crave the attention of the great unwashed masses that normally post their drunken ramblings on this site, inanely replying to any and all posts. This is a site for teachers, not the plumber's union.

In in all inane honor of Sock-pervert's drunken ramblings, have you guys heard this joke?

A man goes to a bar with his dog. He goes up to the bar and asks for a drink. The bartender says "You can't bring that dog in here!"

The guy, without missing a beat, says "This is my guide dog."

"Oh man, the bartender says, "I'm sorry, here, the first one's on me." The man takes his drink and goes to a table near the door.

Another guy walks in the bar with a Chihuahua. The first guys sees him, stops him and says "You can't bring that dog in here unless you tell him it's a guide dog." The second man graciously thanks the first man and continues to the bar where he asks for a drink.

The bartender says "Hey, you can't bring that dog in here!"

The second man replies "This is my guide dog."

The bartender says, "No, I don't think so. They do not have Chihuahuas as guide dogs."

The man pauses for a half-second and replies "What? They gave me a Chihuahua?"

sorry not jealously, PMS then?

seriously tho relax. Rolling Eyes it was a tonuge in cheek comment because your first posting such a rant.

there are posters on here that i'm sure were dropped on their heads when they were babies, its the only way to expalin how they think (or don't as the case may be) but at least they add some color to what could otherwise be a very bland politically correct forum.

I can't find anywhere on this site which says that the forum is exclusively for teachers and non-teachers are not permitted to post.

I enjoy the non-teacher perspective on Korean life from characters like BillyB and the Guru. These guys never bag the teaching profession and contribute a fukc-site more than half the inspiration-for-birth-control excuses for teachers and flame trolls with roam these pages. nuff-said

I have sexist and racist attitudes, but I didn't get any MVP. In fact, this is the second time I've mentioned it in 2 days. Don't go complaining about posters being sexist and racist being "MVP" when there are other posters who have sexist and racist attitudes and get completely ignored. Shame on you for that fact, whatever it is!
