Twice I've been undercut in the last 10 seconds by some clowny clown.
Does anyone have any tips for dealing with this garbage? It's such a turn off to see that! |

Happened to me loads of times when bidding on camera stuff.
It's fucking annoying as hell. I tried to figure a way to get around it, but couldn't. Saddos who spend all their time trying to undercut people on eBay should be shot. |

I know a girl who worked for ebay, and she hates it too! Hehe... but mainly cuz of people like you! Haha, just kidding.
Anyways, could it be possible the seller just uses another account to up the price? I think that's a valid concern..... |

Some people use programs to bid at the last second:
http://esnipe.com/
For the reasons the OP mentioned, I only search for and purchase stuff that is 'buy it now'. |

Bid high. If you are offering 100 bucks as your top price, and the auction sits at 50 bucks until the last minute (when the clowns pour in and try to snipe you) their bids will all be beat by yours.
Basically, when it looks like you will be getting a great deal on something, you can expect to get sniped at the last minute. |

| It happened to me a lot. The thing to do is to just have a reserve price set, and at the last 30 seconds or so raise your reserve price again (even with no bids). This will take the guess work out of any weenie who will try to snip you. |

Ah, you don't hate EBAY, you hate YOURSELF for not knowing how to bid and win. Learn how to snipe and always bid your maximum. In that case, the only way you'll lose is if someone else is willing to pay more than your hard limit. |

Open up two windows, and bid with both.
It doesn't solve the problem, but gives you a more fighting chance to snipe the snipers. |

I've done that before. Sorry, folks, but it's true. You just make another account and go bid on whatever it is you are selling. If you think other people aren't doing this, you're naive.
OP, you have to play the game. Figure out what your maximum price is, and then sit there bidding non-stop right up until the end, unless you cross your threshold. |

I'll try a combination snipe/multiwindow deal.
I gotta get one of these things used....too much new.
And no I'm not going to tell you what it is...neener neener.
thanks for the advice. |

If you don't mind, I have another question for the vets.
I have actually already said I commited to by this mixer thing from some dude in hong kong. Iv'e sent him about 10 emails asking for shipping and handling fees but he just won't get back to me. It was not indicated that it was included in the bid price and there was no way (in his store, or on the item's page) for me to figure out the mailing costs.
What should I do? |

After a certain amount of time has passed, if the seller doesn't get back to you, you can contact ebay and they will notify him that he's gotta get off the pot. If he doesn't bill you within a set period of time, you will be released from the contract, and so will he. I'm not sure if that affects his feedback or not.
Ebay FAQ will let you know what the appropriate time-frames are regarding this issue.
Basically I'd tell ebay, now, and their wheels will start turning. |

| Thanks for the reply sweetpete. It seems that the resolution console can't accept my filing anything until 10 days has passed. I'm gonna wait one more day and make a more concerted effort to call this kwang fella...hopefully he speaks english but, judging by his store, no point in crossing my fingers. |
