I'm trying to land a Korean university job from Canada and I'm somewhat astounded by the amount of documentation required.
Is it really necessary to send all the sealed transcripts, passport info., etc. BEFORE the interview?
Things have changed since I was there in the late 90s....
Thanks |

I haven't tried to get a univesity job yet ... because I had heard how hard it was to do from outside the country. I will probably try for my next job.
Before I got the job I now have with a public school they did ask for some things before the interview ... but usually just scanned copies sent by email ... The mass of documentation for me came after the interview in applying for the actual visa.
The question I would ask you is whether what they have asked for is things which would help to confirm that your qualifications are legitimate (not unreasonable for a university job) ... or that you do have a valid passport ... or if it is more like the things which are needed to apply for the visa ... in which case it is a bit too much expense to put you to when it is just an interview ...
