I'm coming into Seoul today from Namyangju. This'll be my first visit to Yongsan and all I"m looking for is a place to buy a computer mic. If, by chance you see this message before 4:pm and have any advice I'd appreciate it.

Later this week I think I'm going to be looking for someplace to have my Toshiba Satellite Laptop looked at. For some reason I'm not getting any sound anymore. If you can recommend somebody reputable in Seoul/Yongsan I'd also like to know that tool.

P.S. And don't forget that I want to start a 'casino rueda' team in the Seoul area. I know the basics and can teach'em pretty well and I've got DVDs of all the advanced moves too.

I have a class from 3-4 but you're welcome to call before or after that..

My Toshiba laptop suddenly lost sound a couple of weeks ago. Does anybody know a good computer troubleshooter in the Seoul area I could take my sick machine too?

Also, I've read the opinions here that there are some good prices on computers here in Korea.

From what looking around I did in Technomart today it sure didn't look like the prices are very good at all. At least not compared to prices in Houston, TX. where I'm from.

Can anybody recomment a place here in Seoul where I might be able to acquire a PC or laptop that'll play Generals (the EA game) and do the stuff I do for school?

From the same topic you started in General Disc...

I was going to ring you up yesterday when you went to Yongsan, but thought..

...a computer mic? Dime a dozen...get one at E-Mart. That is, if it's just for chat or general VOIP stuff. If you want a pro mic for home studio work, yeah, go to Yongsan or Technomart.

As for your sound problems, I bet its a driver issue. Remove the drivers via the add/remove windows components (or from the program list if your driver package was a separate installer) and/or remove the sound card from the system via the control panel/system/device manager, then reboot.

Maybe look for updated drivers as well. You will need the exact make/model of the sound card (if onboard sound, then you will need the mainboard make/model) and Google it +"driver download".

Now, if you want to put together a computer, do a search here for one of the many posts about buying and building a system. I can accompany you to technomart and help you build it, depending on where you live.

Prices are not all that comparable on many items. Unless you plan to order from the US, its best to forget about those prices and deal with what is at hand.

PM me if you want to build a computer.

BTW...your domain has expired.
