I'm looking for a cat to keep me company. A dog would be too much responsiblity and would die in my small apartment so I've settled on a cat because the don't need much. Does anyone know any pet stores that sells kittens? I see a number of pet stores in Paju but they all have puppies. I preferably want to find one in Ilsan where it is close to me but Seoul would be OK too.

The wife and I just sold the last of our persian kittens last night. We sold the last at a discount of 200,000 원. The previous 4 sold for 300,000 each Very Happy.

Anyway, Robbie has already knocked up Debbie again!! Randy little bugger. After Debbie has this next batch, one or both of them are being fixed.

The new babies should be out in about a month, then we can sell them after maybe 7 or 8 weeks. By then they will be trained and can eat regular cat food.

Here are the parents:

If you want to put in an order, let me know. They are gorgeous animals. But maybe you want a cat sooner. If so, may I suggest:

Good luck!

Thanks for your offer, they're very nice cat and I have no doubt you take care of your kittens well...but I do want the company sooner. Are cats really that expensive in Korea? I was thinking cats costs no more than maybe 150,000 won. Expense isn't really a big deal but I'd thought it'd be cheaper.

You can check that catclub site. If you see one you wanna check into, have a Korean call (if you don't speak Korean that well).

I used to live in Ilsan, and while I know where some pet shops are, I don't recall ever seeing cats sold there. Just dogs, as you mentioned.

There's a vet at Sunae Station in Bundang who often has cats to give away. I can give you details if you're willing to go there. Don't buy one. People shouldn't sell animals. Take one for free and give it a good home.

Jeez, your right. I'll just give back the 1,400,000 I made, get back the cats, and give them to people for free. That way, the recipients having spent nothing, I can be sure they will take excellent care of them.

Rolling Eyes

I like my style better. And the market sets the terms. I make coin, and the people purchasing the cats have indicated by their financial outlay that they are serious about cat ownership.

Everybody wins.

Okay, reading back on this, I guess that wasn't a jab at me. Correct me if I am wrong.

I agree there are too many potential pets without homes. Just in my case, I saw an opportunity and I of course took it.

That's why I am getting the cats fixed after the next batch of kittens. Too many in the world.

I support planned parenthood.

Edit: Should I fix the male, the female, or both? I haven't researched this yet. Anybody know what's best?

fix the female, just in case she ever gets out and gets knocked up by someone else
also eliminated the chance for tumors in teh uterus when she gets old and such..i believe.
i'm not sure which is cheaper though..

by the way, are there any pet stores or places i can buy cat food either near sinchon/ewha stns or bangbae stn? i see plenty of places selling dogs or dog food but not cat food..

I could have got you one for free the other day. My dog came across a mother while hiking and there in the brush was a kitten hiding out. Cute little guy. I considered grabbing him (otherwise he becomes a feral cat and does great ecologial harm upon the bird populations).

I'd say get any old stray-mix kitten you fancy and they will make a fine companion which is much better than some inbred, aloof, mindless, psychotic Persians--the most useless DNA-twisted cat on the planet.
