Hey I recently arrived and just heard about club night. Has anyone gone who could explain what places participate and if it's a good night out? How much does it cost and which bars or clubs are involved? Also, how do you go about buying a ticket? Thanks for any help and maybe I'll see you out there.

I think around 10 clubs participate. You can tell by the round signs outside of them that say 'The Club Day'. You can get the bracelet from any club participating for 10,000 won.

It can be a great time, but some of the clubs are so obnoxiously packed that it's not even worth LOOKING at the line to get in. The general atmosphere of the neighborhood is great. I frequently just end up in one of the parks with a couple of pitchers whooping it up with my friends.

Club Day is not really a big deal or worth it in my opinion. First of all, it was set up a couple years ago as a marketing ploy by the owners of M2 and Qvo. At first it was good, but now it has grown in popularity so much that the clubs are too packed to enjoy. Plus they are pretty much packed with out of town high school kids it seems. I enjoy going to the clubs occasionally, but I'll always avoid them on club day.
Sound day, however, is amazing. That is the best time to be in hongdae in my opinion. So much variety and so many good bands. That is a night it is worth it to pay 15,000 won for the wristband.
