I was sitting in my basement I just rolled myself a taste
Of something green and gold and glorious to get me through the day
Then my friend yelled through the transom "Grab your coat and get your hat son
There's a nut down on the corner, givin' dollar bills away"

But I laid around a bit
Then I had another hit
Then I rolled myself a bauma
Then I thought about my mama
Then I fooled around, played around
Jacked around a while and then

I got stoned and I missed it
I got stoned and I missed it
I got stoned and it rolled right by
I got stoned and I missed it
I got stoned and I missed it
I got stoned oh me oh my

Now it took seven months of urging just to get that local virgin
With the sweet face up to my place to fool around a bit
Next day she woke up rosy and she snuggled up so cosy
When she asked me how I liked it Lord it hurt me to admit

I was stoned and I missed it
I was stoned and I missed it
I was stoned and it rolled right by
I was stoned and I missed it
I was stoned and I missed it
I was stoned oh me oh my

Now I ain't makin' no excuses for the many things I uses
Just to sweeten my relationships and brighten up my day
But when my earthly race is over and I'm ready for the clover
And they ask me how my life has been I guess I'll have to say

I was stoned and I missed it
I was stoned and I missed it
I was stoned and it rolled right by
I was stoned and I missed it
I was stoned and I missed it
I was stoned oh me oh my

So i went to the tobacco shop in the Hamilton Hotel building. THe very unfriendly Korean woman was asleep at the counter (prob why she was so rude, I woke her up) then she tried to charge me 5 000 won for papers. What the hell? I would expect to pay 1 or 2 thousand, but 5!? Its not that I'm cheap but thats just ridiculous
Tobacco was not overpriced, in fact its only 12 000 won for Drum rolling tobacco which is actually cheaper than in New Zealand now.
So I didn't buy the papers, not because of the price, but the principal, thats just a stupid price.

No worries...there are other ways.... Wink

Shocked It's still like $3-4 a pouch in the US. Or at least it was the last time I was there at the end of '05.

Yea, you will want to pick up your rolling papers in Seoul before heading out to Cambodia since it's said that they are almost impossible to get down there.

Maybe you can save some money by rolling your own cigarettes. Probably not in Korea. Like with cooking at home being more expensive than restaurants, you're probably better off smoking Marlboroughs if you're looking to keep costs down. Of course, quitting a habit is the best way to save money.

5000 won for a pack of papers? Or a box of twelve?
I'm really interested in the tobacco. Better than ready made yucky stuff. I have two bags of drum sitting at home but no papers!

Where's the Hamilton? What suburb? Because I'm too lazy to look it up.

The Hamilton Hotel is in Itaewon. Just go to Itaewon station and take one of the exits (not sure which one). But KFC and Paris Baguette are nearby.

BTW Drum is the worst rolling tobacco you can get. But it's the only rolling tobacco you can get here to the best of my knowledge.
