I am currently negotiating a teaching position at a place called Oxford Language School. The recruiter refers to CheungJu which does not appear on any map I can see (I am in New Zealand) but there is a city called CheongJu. I'm not sure if this is the same place.
Can someone enlighten me?
Also anyone heard of this Oxford school - good,bad, indifferent? |

It would help if you knew which province this city is in.
There are some cities with same or similar names and spelt slightly different so knowing the province would help us to answer your question.
It's like Pusan = Busan
Taegu = Daegu
Incheon = Inchon = Inchun ? Icheon ? , etc. |

CheongJu & ChungJu are two different cities about an hour and one half away from each other in the central area of South Korea. |

As spliff stated Cheongju and Chungju are 2 completely different cities in the same province about 80 kms apart...
wikipedia is your friend here...
Cheongju - main city of its province, about 600 000 people...

Chungju - countryside resort city sitting on Damyang lake and surrounded by some nice national parks...pop about 200 000

And while you are busy negotiating that contract, make sure you research the school very well. 'Nuff said! |
