It is a nice board. The cooling and feature-count make it very desirable.
But, for my next build, I'll probably be looking at boards with the new Intel P35 chipset which will support the up-and-coming DDR3 memory.
Something like this Gigabyte.....

I was looking at those in the Son-In Plaza today.
They quoted me 588k for the mainboard, Q6600 CPU, 4 gigs RAM.
Breakdown was 264k for the CPU, 140k for the mainboard and 46k per gig for the RAM (Samsung pc6400)
Probably pick it up when I return from holidays at the end of Aug. |

The Intell chips are starting to come down now as predicted. An E6600 is below 200,000. Think I'll wait to see what the Pyrens will open at and if to much go w/ a Q6600 as well....be nice if they were down to around 2 bills next winter...  |

That's pretty good pricing. For Korea.
Can anyone explain why I paid 136,000 won for 1GB of Samsung PC5300 just 6 months ago??? I did shop around. None of the Yongsan dealers would go below that price.
Demo....that is a very sweet board. How much in Korea? |

Where did you go? I never get decent pricing at the I'park or the terminal building. I always get better pricing at son-in or nanjin arcade.
The phone number of the place with these prices is 02-702-1908/15. They don't speak English but do speak tech. They are in the Son-In Plaza. |

Haven't seen it in Korea. The Striker Extreme, Nforce, which for some reason is widely available, is 295,000. The Striker is a killer board as well.
This is from the ASUS site; its the Striker. Danawa shows the "Striker Extreme"; looks to be a far more 'cooled' board.
The reason I like the Blitz is the Crossfire support. Nvidia make great products and I used them since the Riva, but after I made an ATI purchase, I decided to go with them when I can.
Right now, Nvidia has the market in DX10, but ATI hasn't gone all out yet. I have a feeling they are going to go big time with a CPU/GPU release at the same time. |
