| The Starbucks legal arm finally got to them, too, it seems. Must have been seen as a threat to their future prostitution expansion foretold about in Idiocracy. |

| Actually, what offended Starbucks most was that Starbutts was serving Maxim coffee mix. |

Yeah, things are changing. The Burger King is gone too.
But Grandma Polly's still queen of the Hill, though, showing kindness to strangers and breaking up fights from her humble Debut Bar throne.
They should make Polly mayor. |

Considering half of what the Red Door carries can be found in a lot of regular shops these days, I wouldn't be surprised.
Personally, I'm waiting for the "Why would anyone want to go to a respectable place like Itaewon?" threads in a few years. |

When the U.S. Army moves its' garrison base, Yongsan, out of Seoul, then Itaewon will change dramatically. It might become more Korean like the rest of Korea! LOL!
I understand Busans' Texas street, now the international district, used to be exclusively American years ago when American military was based there just like in Seoul. You could buy lots of American foods, OTC medicines, and clothing, but now it's China town selling Chinese products such as T-shirts, belt buckles, cool lighters, and other silly things just like you can commonly find at flee markets, fairs, and canivals in the US, but nothing really useful for a Westerner living here. Want a pot leaf belt buckle or a skull crossbones lighter or a rebel T-shirt? The Chinese sell their wares to the U.S. Navy ship sailors that dock occassionally in Busan for a liberty pass. |

Nothing wrong with that - crikey, if I could choose between making coin in Seoul or Pattaya, well, I sure as Sherlock wouldn't still be here in Dullsville, the ROK... |
