camping in Korea? the bug problem is bad enough in the city, i could imagine how bad it could get being out in the "wild". |

How is the fishing in South Korea? I hear there's a few trout fishing spots in the north east, but other than that I haven't heard much about it. |

Hey! I would so be in except that I won't be in Korea until mid August so I will miss the first trip at least if it's at the end of July. Are you trying to organize a group that would do this regularly? I love camping and would love to join when I get there if so... That is provided there is some real camping involved... (Check in times? Check out times? shower?? Changing rooms??? Cycling Street???? etc... This ain't camping, it's an outdoor hotel! ) |

Good luck with the marshmallows, I looked for years before finding them one time at the red door. the look on k-friends faces when I introduced them to the idea after Galbi was well worth it though.
Wish I'd gotten a pic of the adjoshi who dipped a perfectly roasted one in ssamjang, wrapped it in a leaf and chowed down |

The park can only accommodate 600 people for camping so reservations must be made in advance. |
Errr, isn't this a little ambiguous? it'll be summer vacation so the park will be FULL of K families and kids - just the situation everyone is trying to avoid. Think Korean beach in summer. |

I live right near Hangang park and from what I can see in my walks through the area, it's basically right next to the highway, no trees, and the majority of the camping is on concrete. Is there a different camping area other than the one right next to the river? Maybe there's more than the one I've seen. |

Actually the fishing over here is pretty good, depending on where you live. If you can get to a freshwater lake or river, chances are it has bass and/or bluegill. I've been bass fishing for four years now and have had decent luck - except that as more and more Koreans are getting into it, the lakes are getting crowded. |
