| A Maple bear is a name that very clearly indicates it must be a Canadian school, Canada being known for maple syrup and bears, among other things. |

Very creative. That goes right up there with the Canucks old jersey with the rounded rectangle with a hockey stick in the midle to make it look like a "C". Makes you wonder what kind geniuses are coming up with these fantastic ideas. |

| I think that's part of the Canadian Connection school or something. Don't know about the program but I did interview there years ago. Lots might have changed but it's Canadian run. Interpret that as you see fit. |

Sounds like a sh*t off from Maple Story. The popular kids PC game in Korea.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Preferred Skills:
� B. Ed. and Principal�s qualifications and/or experience at the elementary/primary level
� TESOL or experience in ESL/International schools (preferred)
� Experience with Immersion or Early Childhood Programs/ESL for Primary/Junior Students
� Strong organizational, administrative and program implementation skills
� Positive communication skills, ability to work in a team environment
Position Description:
SCHOOL DIRECTOR/PRINCIPAL -- MAPLE BEAR SCHOOLS (Korea)
Reports to:
ECE Specialist/Country Director of Maple Bear Schools (Korea); Owner�s Designee
JOB DUTIES
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
� Manage the School as a private educational institution with priority given to educational quality
and profitability. This duty involves increasing the School�s enrollment, maintaining high quality
of teaching and program implementation in the School and increasing revenues.
� Perform outreach activities with a view to expanding the School�s enrollment and reputation in
the community.
� Manage the time-tabling and other practical matters of the School efficiently and effectively.
� Implement the Maple Bear program according to the requirements laid out in the franchise
agreement and as advised by the Maple Bear Specialist of CEC Network Global Schools.
� Supervise the various instructional programs, devise plans for improvement and recommend
enhancements/changes.
� Recommend improvements to the School to the Maple Bear Specialist of CEC Network Global
Schools and to designee.
� Supervise the Canadian teaching staff and the Korean staff of the School. This will include
general supervision, staff development and staff evaluation.
� Consult with the Maple Bear Specialist of CEC Network Global Schools and the designee on
matters related to hiring, terminating, transferring, renewing staff.
� Work cooperatively with designee who will manage the budget of the School.
� Work cooperatively with the Assistant Director and designee in the smooth operation of the
School.
� Undertake other duties as assigned from time to time by designee or the Maple Bear Specialist of
CEC Network Global Schools for the success of the School.
� Cooperate with and follow the instructions given by the Maple Bear Specialist of CEC Network
Global Schools for the success of the School.
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE:
� Execution of all duties in a complete and comprehensive manner in accordance with standard
Canadian educational institution methods and practices and Maple Bear standards.
� Supervision, development and evaluation of staff based upon a model to be developed by the
Director in consultation with the Maple Bear Specialist of CEC Network Global Schools.
� Evidence of the Director�s ability to develop a harmonious and productive �Canadian�
educational climate in the School.
� Evidence of sound program implementation.
� Evidence of educational quality and revenue generation.
� Evidence of financial responsibility.
� Evidence of good planning.
� Track record of outreach and new contracts.
� Effective management of space, time and material in the School.
� Evidence of cost effective promotion of the School.
� Evidence of initiative and leadership.
� Respectful treatment of all members of Company staff and Maple Bear Korea staff.
� Strict observance and compliance with all local laws, ordinances, customs, traditions and
culturally accepted practices.
� Compliance with all Company policies, procedures and directions.
JOB PAYMENT
Salary:
Salary up to approx. $70,000 CDN/year
