At the moment I am currently working in Seoul and my employer is willing to give me a letter of release. I would like to find a Public School position in Seoul or in the suburbs of Seoul (honestly, I am very tired of the hagwon scene). The problem is this: they want me to stay around until the end of September since one of their key teachers will be leaving for a month and I will be the most senior teacher around. I would like to leave in early September. I am wondering if I would be able to land a job in a public school within either of these periods (of leaving my current employer). I am told that I would receive a favorable reference if I did it their way. However, I am worried that I might miss my window of opportunity.
