I have a contract/visa at my current hagwon that is up at the end of March. The school as agreed to extend my contract for an extra 3 months until the end of June. They are currently "looking into" what we need to do to make this happen. Anyone with some experience that could give me a heads up if I need to round up some documentation? Will I need a new CBC? If so, how do I obtain one from SK? (I'm from Canada) It would make sense if I could simply extend the contract/visa seeing as I havent left the country, committed any crimes, etc... but then I realize what country Im trying to stay in again...

Although it states clearly on the Immigration website that once you have submitted your background check you don't need to do it again, each immigration office appears to be implementing their own protocol. I hired someone whose previous hagwon went out of business. He had submitted a background check for that position, and we did not need another background check for him. This was through the Sejogno immigration office. I hear that the immigration office in Busan is extremely anal.

If you want to get another background check, you can do it through the Winnipeg police. Just google them, and it is a pretty simple process. Just remember you need the VSS.
