http://www.hani.co.kr/arti/society/society_general/218556.html (In Korean)

According to a newspaper article, the black judge claimed that the Koreans told him not to come back to their dry-cleaner anymore at one point. This wasn't surprising for me because when I first heard that the judge is black, I thought there might be some racism involved. I mean... you don't sue a poor family and expect to win $65 million dollars. You sue a FORTUNE 500 company for that.
It's hard for me to believe that he actually thought he was going to get anywhere near the $65 million he sued them for. I'm aware that there are some weird lawsuits in the U.S. but is this one of them?

It's an abuse of the system (frivolous), so yes. for more such examples, google "The Stella Awards" or buy Randy Cassingham's book of the same title.

There was also a similar case last month(?), where a white lawyer was suing a Korean dry cleaner for millions as well. Don't know the legal result, but the Koreans basically said they are packing up and coming back to Korea.

I don't care if you're the Queen of England, If you sue me for 65 mil over a pair or stinky pants, I'm going to tell you not to come back to my shop. I'll probably even say a few more things.....

Dude, why does Korean ethnicity have to be such an overriding issue related to any subject that comes up?

'Weather seasons? Well, Korea has....'

'The Korean traditional food kimchi prevents SARS....'

'Hines Ward has Korean blood. By the way he plays a sport called American football; I don't know what that is.'

The issue in the OP is an American civil issue. Don't worry about it.

It makes you sound like a little boy first discovering a *beep*.

'Look what I have! It's so special!' ... It's no more special than that which so many others have.

The judge suing the couple should have been laughed out of the courtroom. He wanted something like $5000 for taxi money because now he has to go to another dry cleaners farther away from his home.

PLay a sad song on a fiddle for him please.

Jesus, what the heck is your problem? It seems like you pick on me every time I post. Is it because I'm Korean? (I'm guessing~) Are you dissatisfied by some other Koreans and decided to annoy one in retaliation on your computer screen in a passive-aggressive way?

The issue involves a Korean family. Yes, they reside in the U.S. but they're still Korean. The story is covered by both the American and Korean media. So I thought maybe we can relate on this and share our differences in views. I was curious if anybody would look at the Korean couple as the villain. (Apparently not.) But according to you, I shouldn't be allowed to talk about Koreans living abroad because um... I'm Korean??? Dude, you're a racist.

When did I ever talk about Korea having four distinct seasons?!?! Or do you just label me as "one of those typical Koreans who are not as smart as me" because I'm a Korean, too? Dude, you're such a racist.

Yes, sir! I won't worry about it, sir! Please tell me more about how I should run my life because I think you're so special and great like your mother did, sir! Rolling Eyes

By the way, are you an only child?
