Unresolved Problems Segment
Immigration proposal dividing Americans

Guest: Senator John McCain

Presidential candidate Senator John McCain entered the No Spin Zone to defend the proposed immigration bill that is being widely denounced. The Factor asked McCain about accusations that the bill provides "amnesty" to lawbreakers. "This will include fines," McCain responded. "We're doing everything that I can think of to make sure that illegal behavior is punished. To call this 'amnesty' is a stretch." McCain also insisted that the bill will tighten border security. "Nothing will happen until Homeland Security certifies that we have taken the necessary action to secure our southern border. There will be automatic jail for those who cross our borders illegally." The Factor reminded McCain that some on the left say the bill is too harsh on illegals. "The New York Times wants open borders, they want all the 12-million people who will be legalized to bring in their extended families. They want to break down the white, Christian male power structure, and they want to bring in millions of foreign nationals."

Yep.

Actually, that is one thing I don't necessarily agree with. If they go to jail, then the tax dollars from legal citizens are still being put to use to shelter, and cloth them.

I think its Automatic Jail until they bus going back to Mexico leaves. They aren't going to stay in the prison system. I doubt they would use the honor system and have the illegals just walk around. Can you see it now "Hey, you came over illegally. The bus back to Mexico leaves next week. Can you promise me you'll come back here in time for the bus?" "Si Senor"

LOL! Good point.

Well, I'm for the boarder wall, security and tight measures in this regard. It is way past the time for "understanding" and "lets be friends while we sit in the field picking flowers". It is a serious problem that has to be dealt with, even if it means telling Mexico to "phuck off..we are closing our boarder to you courtesy of a nice, big, fat wall. And, if you still persist on coming over illegaly, you will run the risk of getting shot".

You can watch the O'Reilly Factor snipets on foxnews. There's always something interesting there from O'Reilly. Also they have an entire section devoted to Border Security. I also love Drudgereport for immigration information. They don't have videos of O'Reilly but still some good info. Neil Boortz has some interesting stuff on illegal immigration too. I miss Neil!!! Sad

Hey now....there is nothing wrong with an honest days work. Furthermore,
....oh..............HONEST days work......my bad.

Well, the ones that hire them are just as guilty, if not more so.

I actually enjoy watching and listening to O'Reilly...

He does have some good points at times... I definitely don't agree with some of what he says, but he does provide a nice counter-weight to all the mainstream liberal media/perspectives out there..

Refreshing to watch at times, frustrating at others...

He is pretty balanced with what he reports. And, I like the fact that he calls out those journalist in question who are posting, writing and reporting crap.

I've never really watched his show so I can't really comment, but is he not the guy that Stephen Colbert is satirizing? I really enjoy his show.

No he isn't. He's a damned dirt neo-con claiming to be a moderate.

Whitey uber alles...
