Quote:
Shu Qi plays a gangster with language problems in the Korean flick, 'My Wife is a Gangster 3'.

One of the supporting characters in Shu Qis new film 'My Wife is a Gangster 3' is a bumbling Korean translator who gets her translations wrong all the time, resulting in all sorts of hilarious situations for Shus character.

Such incidences may be funny in a movie, but the Taiwan-born actress was not amused when she faced the same sort of situation while filming the movie in Korea.

There really isnt anything funny about it in fact, whenever I felt that the translator was not translating correctly, I would get annoyed, said the actress during an interview in Singapore recently.

Reading the article, she said how she experienced the same thing whilst filming in the States and when it happened here, she was thinking 'oh, no. not again.' That got me thinking, perhaps it's not that the translators are not doing a good job, but perhaps it's just that she's neurotic.

She's the girl from the transporter? Her acting and English were so bad, I kept wishing he'd stuff her back in the bag.

edit - and I think she's right about getting bad service, because somebody has apparently confused the terms 'translator' and 'interpreter'.

Did you ever see the photos where she totally gets naked and shows off her clam? I won't post it here, but just send me a PM and I'll show you the link.

PS... it's a really hot clam.

She's come a long way from the adult magazines she was "discovered" in... reminds me of a Pamela Anderson type rise from obscurity.

Apparently in Taiwan it's standard to get naked in order to get discovered. She wasn't excited about doing it but knew it was necessary to advance her career.

I just hope My Wife is a Gangster 3 is better than 2. I know, I know, this series is just popcorn fare, but I still find them entertaining (especially the female on male rape parts in the 1st flick).
