So, I've been posting on this board for over a year now, and I'm starting to get a little bored with my avatar. So I put it to you all.... do you think it's time for a change, or do you like what I've got now?

Some options to change it to include:
- A photo of my dog (who is recently deceased... might be a nice tribute)
- A stereotypical "Korean" photo (soju bottle, kimchi, etc....)
- A picture of myself.... I'm unsure about this, but after looking at some of the newer people here, this seems to be a new trend.....do you all wanna look at this mug? haha
- No photo at all

Anyway... what do you think?

just realized that I'm hosting your current av. I'll leave it alone, in case you want to change it back.

I'd argue against posting your pic. The posters on here are a decent sort, but there's a lot of creepy folk lurking too. The dog sounds like a good idea

Oh yes Peppermint you are! You were the kind person who helped me out when I was unsure about how to put one up in the first place. Thanks again for that, btw.

My two cents...

I like your current avatar. Another one might be just as good or better, but anyway, I think the current photo is interesting.

You should get a really fast-changing, flashing avatar with hints of nudity in it. People would say, "was that a boob?" just before they have a seizure.

You should ask your mom or your babysitter.

Do what you like, but remember that the longer one keeps an avatar, the more closely they're associated with it. I've kept the same avatar since the site went live and I can't bring myself to change it...it has become a part of me.

I agree. It helps to be consistent. I get bored though, which is why I've stuck to a theme. It's recognizable, but not tedious.

True enough about the association thing.
Looks like I'll be keeping it.

ps - I hate those flashy, seizure-esque avatars. Drive me nuts!

Red: That sounds nice, but please, I hope he's not dressed up in human clothes.

Green: That sounds okay to me, though I like people avatars; sometimes I can almost imagine the words coming out of their mouths.

Violet: For safety reasons, I don't think you should use a picture of yourself. There are a lot of weird people out there. Putting your picture out "there" in cyberspace is like letting a genie out of a bottle -you can't take it back.

Brown: I like avatars. They help me identify posters and give me some idea about their personality.
