Hi all;

We're in Daejeon and getting near the end of our second contract with this school (1 september 07). We plan to go home for about 2 months and catch up with family.. new grandchild etc and plan to return to Korea in around November/December 07 to a new position.. My question is, does anyone know of a furniture storage facility in this country or even if such a thing exists here?? We'd prefer to store our stuff here since it's only a short time we'll be away and we don't want to have to re-purchase stuff when we return.. Any ideas, info, links etc will be greatly appreciated.. Many thanks in advance.. Smile

I'm having a moving company store my stuff for 5,000 per day plus 80,000 per move. For you, I guess that would be 460,000. Maybe somebody else knows of a better deal.

Thanks for your reply! Which company is it and where are they located? Any number? website? etc??? I'd probably be willing to pay that kind of fee since the stuff is worth more than that to re-purchase on our return.. Thanks again. Smile

It's a typical price, more or less. Depending on where you live, you'll just have to call a local moving company. In other words, you'll have to get a Korean friend or co-worker to help you. Find an understanding friend, have them call moving companies, and get the best rate. Also, be sure to mention that you'll help move the stuff into the truck yourself, and you may get a discount. I've heard of rates as low as 30,000 for small amounts.
