I thought this would be a fun thread. What kind of concoctions do you make with food at convenience stores?
For me, its simple. I was sitting there with a bag of funyuns at 7-11. I was looking at the slurpees trying to figure out what I wanted to drink. Then this one guy came in, grabbed a bag of funyuns. He opened the bag and put the melted hot dog cheese directly in the the bag.
It was a revelation. It was the greatest thing I have ever seen. I asked the guy "You can put the cheese on the chips?" he said "Yeah, all the condiments are free. You can even bring your lunch and and spruce it up with whatever they got."
I finallly discovered Funyuns with cheese. |

I wish Korean 7-11s etc. had all the stuff their Japanese counterparts did. All the different pastas and rolls you can microwave up into a calorie filled treat.
In Korean ones, if you don't feel like ramyon, kimbab, or the barely edible sandwiches your'e out of luck. |

I would hip-kick a grandmother for a Slurpee.
Anyone know of a 7/11 in Seoul that dishes them out? |

Not much. It's pretty much canned coffee, soda, water, sugar, noodles, rice, soju, and cigarettes. I am talking about the little family mart type of convenience stores since I am not around 7-11's or GS 25's or anything like in Seoul. In Seoul, they sell these little jars of home made fruits which I enjoyed.
I get my food at Home Plus and prepare all my own food at home since we're lacking restaurants I would want to go since the local area offers only these tiny home grown places where older people go. People here tend to get deliveries most of the time, but ordering it is a mystery to me. I must say that meat, veggies, fruit, and coffee, the things I need, are crazy expensive here.
Spagetti, fried tators, hamburgers, and such are on the menu at my place. |
