This is huge. The Ontario Teacher's Pension Fund (one of the world's largest pension funds) bought BCE (owner of Ma Bell, broadband services, and a lot of serious next level shyte) for cash and are taking the publically traded company private.

BCE, Inc. announced that the Company has entered into a definitive agreement for the Company to be acquired by an investor group led by Teachers Private Capital, the private investment arm of the Ontario Teachers Pension Plan, Providence Equity Partners Inc. and Madison Dearborn Partners, LLC. The all-cash transaction is valued at CDN$51.7 billion ($48.5 billion), including CDN$16.9 billion ($15.9 billion) of debt, preferred equity and minority interests.
