I noticed this local restaurant uses this cartoon character in its ad. What troubles me is it is a very stereotyped cartoon of an Asian. The buck teeth. The slitty eyes. Something out of a WWII era Bugs Bunny propaganda film.

Now it is for a jajang myun place and that's a Chinese dish. Maybe the guy in the cartoon isn't supposed to be Korean but Chinese.

LOL. Turn on your t.v. Watch Korean animation. It's WAY out of control.

And those ads are everywhere. That second picture is pretty funny~ Laughing

I don't understand the 'n' word reference.

It's a caricature (spelling?) and yes--although ja jjang myon is supposed to be a Chinese dish I've heard you can't find it there and that it's Korean.
Who the hell knows. You should see the chicken ad at a place near my apartment.

Oh, and some Korean graffiti which reads 메롱 Killing Killing Killer Die.

LOL
