I was just wandering where the cheapest bars people have found in Soeul/Korea.

I'm not talking about good value here just straight up cheapest place they have drunk in whilst here for soju or beer.

The "Gold Bar"[s] in Hongdae have 500cc Cass for 1,900w. Getting a pitcher is even cheaper of course.

Most hofs charge about 2500 won for a 500 cc pint. I've not really found any cheaper than this.

BricX in Itaewon. It's cheap and it's a good time there.

500cc mug of Cass and a shot of Jager for 5,000.

I'm sure there are cheaper places, but not that I'd be caught dead in.

The grocery store near my place sells the small bottles of beer for 1200 won. Haven't found a place cheaper than that.

Yea, gather a few friends and head down to the local 'mart' (GS25/ Family Mart/ etc) that has plastic patio furniture out front. Drinks are cheap, and always cold. Paper cups provided free. Good selection of snacks right on hand.

You can get smashed on good Irish whiskey in the Wolfhound, Itaewon. Double Jamesons for 6,000. Generous doubles too. 5 of those have you smiling .

What's wrong with a good night in with Captain Q? Still not sure if it is rum or bourbon because it tastes like neither

Those are very generous doubles. Love that bar.

Tinpan taquile is also plenty cheap.

I like Club Bubi Bubi (부비부비) in Daejeon. $10 to get in but all draft beer is free. Place seemed to be about 75% college girls.. didn't notice many other foreigners in there. Everyone was super friendly there too. But that's probably because I'm handsome.
