I was told to try phone teaching... however, I've no idea how it's really done. They said that I just have to talk for 10 minutes. I'm wondering how can a student learn that way...
Need your input guys... |

Ten minutes? Good grief, are these advanced students? If not, that would be hopeless. Better have a long list of questions ready.
"Yah-ghee, ________ hogwan in-day-oh, Mathew [sic] is-eh-oh? Mathew is-eh-oh? Mathew up-say-oh? Mathew? ... May-teacher, help me!"
[hence follows a five-minute conversation between May-teacher and Mathew's har/lmony after which you're told that Mathew will call you back in 45 minutes, when you had planned to go home in ten].
Enjoy. |

You do this at home. And yes, it is 10 minutes per student per day, 5 days a week. I had a guy calling me up asking me if I was interested. I would be if I didn't have a one month old baby then!
There is a catch though (small one) - you have to buy the internet phone equipment, which is about 200,000 won. The pay is something like 5000 won per student. So if you do an hour, it's 30,000 won or something like that. Can't really remember the deal... |

I had an interview for one - its pretty easy but you usually have to commit 3 hours in a row for it - so you talk to 18 studentsin a night - 3 times a week. So 9 hours a week for 30 ,000 an hour. That isnt bad money - but if you can find 2 hours of privates thats 60 -80 for less work. BUt if you just want to do somethign easy at home then its not bad. |
