I'd never heard of this but was staying at this little hut-like pension with pink frilly interior decor and a little OTT at 100K and the ajuma had the floor heating on

something about the humidity, i thought she had turned it off on our arrival but not so and i became increasingly appalled by this action...

but apparently this is not unusual? does anyone know anything about this?

FLoor heating dries out the air...I've turned it on from time to time in the summer to help reduce my mold problem.

Don't forget to open all the windows. Improper air circulation can be fatal in Korea.

I'm imagining a Korean room with the fan on, the air conditioning on, the floor heating on, the windows open, the rain pouring outside and an ajumma spraying indoor mosquito killer.

Don't forget the agoshi's sitting around smoking and drinking and playing Go-Stop.
