Hi folks
I'm looking for a cheap digital camera. Ideally it will be able to record sound movies and take good photos.
Most of all though, it should be cheap.
Should i buy one in Seoul or wait till i go to Tokyo? If so, where should i go?
Thanks. |

How about China, Beijing specifically? I'm going there soon and have fantasized about picing up a camera (so many complaints from friends back home, they've stopped believing I'm really here). I would suspect better prices in china, am I right? |

No bashing, but for some deep found reason, i dont trust electronics purchased in China, eventhough most are assembled or manufactured there, but the flood of counterfeits is worrysome to me.
I was in Japan last year and the prices arent that much cheaper. I believe that electronics are best priced in the US. |

Yeah, in China any electronics you buy may or may not work. A good rule of thumb is, if it seems like a real bargain, you can expect it to break within a few months.
And yes, Japan is more expensive than back home.
I was pleasantly surprised by the prices in Yongsan, however. |
