i finish at my current school in 3 days, and go home for 3 weeks. I start my new job at the beginning of August. My new school says that they can only apply for my new visa once my old visa is cancelled.
My current school says my visa will only be cancelled after I leave.
Am I going to have troubles getting everything sorted before I come back?
Does anyone know much about this?
Cheers. |

The only reason your visa would run concurrent with an E2 is if you were moving from an E2 to an F2-1 in particular...This happened to me when I changed my visa status after getting married...If you go and get another E2 and show the proper employment documents, your current E2 becomes null and void when the new E2 is issued. Whoever told you this information is incorrect...Not trying to be critical, but it is something I have personal experience with on both accounts that I mentioned in this reply...
As long as you have the right employment verification from your new employer, there will be no reason for not applying and receiving your new visa while you are on vacation... |
